Prefectura de Esmeraldas, realizaron el levantamiento topogr\u00e1fico necesario para el inicio de los trabajos de rehabilitaci\u00f3n y modernizaci\u00f3n de cuatro albarradas, distribuidas en las parroquias Lagarto, Montalvo y Rocafuerte del cant\u00f3n Eloy Alfaro.<\/p><p>Las albarradas se construyen desde \u00e9pocas precolombinas, con la finalidad de sostener la vida y agro producci\u00f3n en territorios donde el agua dulce es escasa.<\/p><p>De tal manera, Piquigual, Mach\u00edn, La Muralla y Palma Real, son las cuatro comunidades beneficiadas con los trabajos contratados a trav\u00e9s de la empresa p\u00fablica ECODEP.<\/p><p>Cada una de las construcciones hidr\u00e1ulicas tendr\u00e1n una medida de 20 metros de ancho, 30 metros de largo y 2,5 metros de profundidad, con una capacidad para albergar hasta 1500 metros c\u00fabicos de agua.<\/p><p>Agricultores y productores pecuarios de las zonas intervenidas, ser\u00e1n los principales beneficiados con el proyecto que, adem\u00e1s busca la modernizaci\u00f3n del proceso a trav\u00e9s de la implementaci\u00f3n de un sistema de
