Explic\u00f3 que las labores iniciaron en el sector Las Brisas con el retiro de palizadas y continuaron en Las Luchas, donde se ejecut\u00f3 la limpieza de sedimentos acumulados en la represa y el mantenimiento de zanjas que permanec\u00edan obstruidas por maleza y lodo.<\/p><p>Por su parte, Magda Porra, moradora del barrio Ribera del R\u00edo, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que durante la temporada invernal el nivel del agua aumenta considerablemente, generando preocupaci\u00f3n entre las familias del sector.\u201cHab\u00edamos solicitado ayuda porque conocemos el riesgo que representan las crecientes del r\u00edo. Ahora que se est\u00e1n realizando estos trabajos de limpieza y dragado, esperamos reducir el peligro de inundaciones. Estamos agradecidos con el prefecto Diego Zambrano por escuchar nuestro pedido\u201d, expres\u00f3.<\/p><p>Asimismo, Claudio \u00c1lvarez, presidente barrial, indic\u00f3 que el r\u00edo Atacames incrementa su caudal en cada \u00e9poca lluviosa, afectando a una zona altamente productiva donde numerosas familias dependen de la agricultura.\u201cHemos gestionado durante mucho tiempo el dragado del r\u00edo y la construcci\u00f3n de obras de protecci\u00f3n. Aqu\u00ed viven alrededor de 200 familias que se ven afectadas cuando ocurren inundaciones y se pierden las cosechas.
